The checklist below consists of actions that you can complete before you are endorsed (Pre-Endorsement Actions) and actions you must complete once you are endorsed (Post-Endorsement Actions).
Pre-Endorsement Actions
You must complete these or confirm that your website developer will be making the relevant changes to your website once endorsed.
Post-Endorsement Actions
You are required to complete the Post-Endorsement actions and any carried over Pre- Endorsement Actions, within 30 days of being endorsed, but we would encourage you to complete these actions at your earliest convenience.
This means you do not have to wait until you are endorsed to make these changes.
We are always happy to check your website whenever it is updated to make sure you comply with the guidance in this document and confirm any details that may need altering. Just let us know once you’ve made any changes!

LOGO USE – Please do not use our logo until your endorsement has been approved. We will provide you with the Which? Trusted Traders ‘logo’ to put on your website and guidance on how it can be used. This will be sent to you if and when you become successfully endorsed and as stated in your agreement with us, this must be hyperlinked to your Which? Trusted Trader profile. We will provide you with the URL to hyperlink your page once you are endorsed. |

W17 – COMPLAINT PROCEDURE AND ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION The wording below must be on your website if and when you are successfully endorsed as your customers will have access to the Alternative Dispute resolution service. The text below will be sent to you when you become endorsed to add to your website.
Where Windows and Doors (FENSA regulated) are installed you may wish to use the industry ADR provider of choice.
COMPLAINTS POLICY The business always endeavours to provide the best service for every customer. However, on rare occasions, there may be times where a customer may not be completely satisfied. To ensure the business is able to put things right as soon as possible, please read our complaints procedure below. The business will then be able to respond promptly to ensure complete satisfaction. As soon as possible after the completion of the works, please inspect the work to ensure everything has been carried out based on the contract terms and the high standards the business aims to achieve. In the unlikely event there is anything you are not completely satisfied with, please contact the business as soon so the problems can be rectified as soon as possible. Our Procedure Either call, email or write* to us. The business aims to respond within 5 days of receiving your complaint and where possible, will provide you with a date to remedy any issues raised.
Where the business is unable to resolve your complaint using the business complaints procedure, as a Which? Trusted Trader we use Which?’s dispute resolution Provider for dispute resolution. In the unlikely event that the business cannot remedy your complaint to your satisfaction you may wish to refer your complaint to them. If you wish to do so please contact Which? Widget Benefit – Advisory
We will provide you with a ‘widget’ to put on your website once you are successfully endorsed. The ‘widget’ will show your live review rating score and provide a link to where customers can leave you a review and see your profile page details, which is a massive benefit to your business. The coding for this will be sent to you when you become endorsed.
You can add this widget to your website as soon as your endorsement has been approved, but this will not affect your endorsement status. |
LINKS TO OTHER SITES – Advisory Remember you can add links to other sites for customers to see reviews, membership details etc. |
SECURITY/PRIVACY POLICY – Advisory Your site must be compliant with GDPR requirements if you ask customers to contact you through your site. Your site needs to be secure and include statements about use of customers details. Your website developer can assist with this or if you update the site yourself you will need to review the GDPR online compliance terms. Your site should also include Privacy Policy details. |
